Upcoming Events and Web Updates

This is where we'll announce the upcoming events for the base and the most recent additions to our web site. If you've visited us before and want to know what's changed, take a look here first.

Lake Murray Cruise is September 3rd !!! Money needs to be in by August 29th !!!

The cost is $40 per person, which covers the cruise, a catered dinner, and live entertainment provided by 2 Awesome (Don Dupree and Butch Floyd). There is a cash bar on the cruise ship and provides soft drinks, beer and wine. BYOB if you want something stronger. Please do not bring beer or wine. This is an adult only (21 or over) event. Please feel free to invite family and friends. We have plenty of room. Departure time is 6:30 PM sharp. You may board anytime after 6 PM.

Send the names of each person attending to DW Eggleston (so we can make name tags), and your check made out to Palmetto Sub Vets to:

If you are coming in from out of town and want to stay over night after the cruise, here is a list of close by hotels.

There is a new page called Health Help. We currently have two posts on asbestos. We will post other information as it becomes available.

We are putting together a base library for books, videos, etc. If you have any Navy, Sub, or other military book video that you want to donate or loan, bring it to one of the meetings. If it is a loan, please put your name in it. If you want to borrow a book, come to a meeting and check one out.

Local Medal of Honor recipient Charles P. Murray Jr. Citation can be seen by clicking here. He was present at the 2010 Massing of the Colors and some of our sub vet brothers got to speak with him.

Next Parade Details

Will be the Veteran's Day Parade. We are considering doing both the Columbia and Lexington parades since they are different days. Please come and participate in the parade with us, or come and cheer us on.
